Homemade Almond Milk

Making your own nut milk sounds difficult, but it really is quite simple.  And because I limit my dairy intake and personally love the taste of nut milk better than cows milk, I have been experimenting will all sorts of variations.  This is my personal favorite at the moment, as well as the boys too!  I use it in my cappuccino and on my overnight oats.

Homemade Almond Milk

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup organic almonds
  • 4 cups purified water
  • 2 pitted dates
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • pinch of sea salt
  • Vitamix or any blender
  • Nut milk bag
Directions:
  • Soak a cup of organic almonds in water overnight
  • Combine 1 cup of soaked organic almonds, 4 cups of purified water, 2 pitted dates, 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon, a pinch of sea salt in blender
  • Blend and then strain through a nut milk bag
  • Enjoy!
